Q1What does the redactor replace?
Common email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, card-like numbers that pass a checksum and the exact names you list. Each match becomes a placeholder such as [EMAIL].
Q2Is the result fully anonymised?
No. Pattern matching misses addresses, unlisted names, account numbers and details that identify someone in context. Review the result before sharing it.
Q3Is my transcript sent anywhere?
No. Redaction runs in your browser. The original stays on this page until you reset or leave, and is never sent or stored.
Q4How do I redact names the tool cannot detect?
List each name in the names field, one per line or separated by commas. Exact matches are replaced, including names that pattern matching would miss.
