Five steps to a working AI agent.
Each step lines up with a tab in the agent workspace — so you can keep this page open in one window and the dashboard in another, and scroll along.

Create your AI agent.
From the dashboard, click Create Agent. Give it a name and hit Next — that lands you on the agent setup page where you'll add knowledge, pick a template, and dial in tone.

Add knowledge.
Quality in, quality out. Upload well-formatted training documents — clean text, structured JSON, or FAQs work best. Or pop into the Q & A tab and save your most-asked questions in plain English.

Configure & test.
Move to Configure and Test. Pick a template that matches your use case, choose an avatar (or upload your own), then run through the settings below. Each one shapes how the agent sounds on your site.
- Business nameSets the company name displayed on your AI agent.
- Reply lengthStandard is the recommended length for optimum performance — your agent will reply in smart mode regardless.
- LanguageFor UK agents pick UK (UK dialect); for US set USA (US conversational dialect).
- Conversation startersAdd starter questions that appear as tabs in your AI agent — usually your most common queries.
- AI formsCapture customer details or leads. Pick a contact form, or on Growth+ build custom AI forms or a booking form.
- Greeting messageThe first message your AI agent sends. Shorter is better — the default works well.
- System instructionsGive the agent extra rules. Example: "If a customer mentions a bulk purchase, offer them BIGBUY1 for 10% off."

Style the chat window.
Click the gear icon next to the test chat window to open the UI customizer. Match the chat colours, header, and accents to your website palette so it feels native.

Deploy & embed.
Open the Deploy tab, customize anything you want (the pulsing avatar is a nice touch), then move to Embed and copy the snippet. Paste it into your website's HTML just before the closing </body> tag — or hand it to your developer.

Yes. Open the test chat's gear icon to set colours, header style, and avatar. The Deploy tab adds further options like the pulsing avatar effect.
04Where do I paste the embed snippet?
Copy the snippet from the Embed tab, then paste it into your website's HTML just before the closing </body> tag. If you don't manage the site yourself, send it to your developer.
