## Limits and what to check

It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Each sitemap is limited to 2 MB and 50,000 entries, and larger input is refused rather than cut short. These are metadata hints written in the file, not observed crawl frequency. Google ignores changefreq and priority, so focus on accurate lastmod dates.

### Does this show how often Google crawls my site?

No. It reads the changefreq and lastmod values written in your sitemap. Those are hints you supply, not observed crawl activity. Use Google Search Console for crawl statistics.

### Do changefreq and priority matter?

They are optional hints. Google says it ignores both, so treat them as notes for your own team. An accurate lastmod, set to the date the content really changed, is more useful.
