## Limits and what to check

The conversion runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Input is limited to 500,000 characters. Formatting that Markdown cannot express, such as colours and fonts, is dropped, so check the result before you publish it.

### Does formatting survive the paste?

When your browser provides formatted content, headings, emphasis, lists, links and tables are converted. Plain text keeps its paragraphs and simple lists.

### Is my pasted text uploaded?

No. Pasted content is converted in your browser and nothing is sent to AI Smarty. Input is limited to 500,000 characters.

### Which apps can I paste from?

Word, Google Docs and most webpages provide formatted content when you copy. Other apps may only provide plain text.

### Why are colours and fonts missing?

Markdown cannot express colours, fonts or sizes, so they are dropped. Structure such as headings, lists and links is kept.
