## Purpose

Compare your current and target lead response times. Enter monthly leads, both response times, the contact rates you see or expect, your close rate and sale value to estimate waiting time saved and the value of reaching more leads.

## How to use this tool

1. Enter your monthly leads and your current average response time in minutes.
2. Enter a target response time and the contact rates you see today and expect at the target.
3. Add your close rate and sale value to estimate the monthly and annual difference.

## Example inputs

- Leads per month: 150
- Current average response time (minutes): 240
- Target response time (minutes): 5
- Leads you reach today (%): 50
- Leads you expect to reach at the target time (%): 65
- Contacted lead to customer rate (%): 20
- Average sale value (£): 400

## Limits and what to check

The change in contacted leads equals leads × (target contact rate − current contact rate), so a lower target rate shows a loss. Customers multiply that by your close rate, and revenue multiplies by sale value. Waiting hours equal leads × response minutes ÷ 60. The tool uses no external benchmarks, so the result depends on your contact rate assumptions.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why do I enter the contact rate myself?

Published response time studies vary widely by industry and method. Use your own CRM data, or a cautious assumption, so the result reflects your business.

### What does a faster response change in the calculation?

Only the contact rate you enter for the target response time. The extra contacted leads are then converted at your lead to customer rate and sale value.

### Is the response time result a sales forecast?

No. It is a scenario based on your own rates. Treat it as a way to compare options, not a prediction.

### Is my lead data sent to a server?

No. The response time calculation runs in your browser, does not use an AI model and saves nothing.
