Canonical page: https://aismarty.com/tools/html-to-faq-generator

## Purpose

Convert the readable content of an HTML page or export into an FAQ. Use it for page source copied from a content system or a saved help article when the page itself is not public.

## How to use this tool

1. Paste HTML of up to 250,000 characters. Scripts and styles are ignored and nothing in it runs.
2. Complete verification and choose Prepare source to extract the readable text.
3. Choose the number of questions, generate the FAQ and check it against the original page.

## Example inputs

- Number of questions: 8
- Who will read the FAQ: Website visitors
- Topics to prioritise: Opening hours and bookings

## Limits and what to check

Pasted HTML is treated as inert text. Navigation, scripts and styles are removed and only readable text is used. Questions that need information outside the pasted HTML appear as gaps rather than answers.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the HTML I paste executed?

No. The HTML is treated as inert text. Readable content is extracted and scripts, styles and embedded resources are discarded, so nothing is loaded or run.

### Should I check FAQ answers made from HTML?

Yes. The AI model is instructed to use only the readable text and to list gaps instead of guessing, but it can still make mistakes. Compare answers with the original page.

### How long is my pasted HTML kept?

The extracted text is deleted after one hour of inactivity, or immediately when you choose Start over.

### How much HTML can I paste?

Up to 250,000 characters. Markup counts towards that limit, so paste the main content section rather than a whole page template.
